With an elevation of 6,189 meters, Island Peak presents an excellent choice for your first 6000 meter mountain. The Island Peak experience takes you on a captivating journey through Sherpa villages and alpine landscapes, enhanced by the enchanting scents of the region. The majestic Himalayan mountains, including Mt. Everest, seem to welcome us to their sacred domains.
The expedition includes Everest Base Camp Trek. As the journey progresses, it leads to the Chhukung valley and toward the summit of Island Peak. Along the way, trekkers explore significant villages and Himalayan settlements in the Khumbu region, such as Namche Bazaar, the Pheriche valley, and Lobuche, among others. Additionally, the expedition includes a trek to the renowned vantage point of Kalapathar, one of the most sought-after viewpoints not only in the Khumbu but across all of Nepal. From this vantage point, you can behold a spectacular panoramic view of the entire Mount Everest massif, which includes awe-inspiring peaks like Mt. Everest (8,848m), Mt. DAY 1: Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport.

DAY 2: Rest day in Kathmandhu

DAY 3: Kathmandu – Lukla – Phakding
  • After breakfast, we take an early morning flight to Lukla. Upon arrival at Lukla, we begin our trek to Phakding. Overnight in Phakding.

DAY 4: Phakding – Namche Bazaar | 3440m
  • After breakfast, we walk along the Dudh Koshi river. This day we cross many suspension bridges in which Hillary Bridge is the highest suspension bridge. It is an uphill walk from Hillary Bridge to Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche.

DAY 5: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
  • We can hike up to Everest View Hotel and enjoy an up-close view of Mt. Everest. While returning from Everest View Hotel, we can also visit the local museum. Overnight in Namche.

DAY 6: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche  |  3867m
  • After breakfast, we trek towards Tengboche. Tengboche village is famous for Tengboche Monastery which is also the largest monastery in Everest region. Overnight in Tengboche.

DAY 7: Tengboche – Dingboche | 4481m
  • After breakfast, we walk through the forest and reach Pangboche village. There is also a monastery in Pangboche. We visit the monastery and trek to Dingboche. Overnight in Dingboche.

DAY 8: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche
  • We will climb to a hill called Nagarjuna (5100m) after breakfast which is directly above Dingboche. Overnight in Dingboche

DAY 9: Dingboche – Lobuche | 4930m
  • After breakfast, we walk along the broad valley floor and we will be passing the Trekkers Aid Post at Periche(4240m). Upon descending further, we will reach Lobuche. Overnight in Lobuche.

DAY 10: Lobuche – Gorak Shep | 5160m – Base camp | 5365 m – Gorakshep
  • We will start our trek from Lobuche to Basecamp and return back to Gorakshep. Overnight in Gorakshep.

DAY 11: Gorak Shep – Dingboche
  • We hike up to Kalapatthar (5545m) and hike back to Gorakshep for breakfast and head back to Dingboche. Overnight in Dingboche.

DAY 12: Dingboche – Chukung
  • We start our trek from Dingboche to Chukung. Chukung is a small settlement which is about half and hour from Bibre. Overnight in Chukung.

DAY 13: Acclimatisation at Chukung
  • Acclimatization time and training is highly recommended once you reach Chukung inorder to adjust your body to the altitude. Overnight in Chukung.

DAY 14: Chukung – Island Peak Base Camp
  • The trek from Chukung to Island Peak base camp is on fairly steep trail. Our guide will instruct you on peak climbing techniques and how to use the climbing equipments. Overnight in Island Peak Base Camp.

DAY 15: Base camp to Summit and return back to base camp
  • We start early in the morning, summit Island Peak and take some pictures then return back to base camp to rest. Overnight in Island Peak base camp.

DAY 16: Base camp – Tengboche
  • We’ll follow the same path down the Khumbu River and descend to Tengboche. Overnight in Tengboche.

DAY 17: Tengboche – Namche Bazaar
  • We continue our journey and follow the trail to Namche Bazaar.

DAY 18: Namche Bazzar – Lukla
  • Walk continues down the Dudh Koshi River to Lukla. Overnight in Lukla.

DAY 19: Lukla – Kathmandu

DAY 23: Departure to Kuala Lumpur

Trek grading: Hiking or scrambling using established hiking routes that may include moderate steep rock scrambles or scree and snow and ice. Trekking experience is important with minimum highest peak climb of 5000m.

Fitness: Good fitness is essential. You should be able to hike for up to a week without undue difficulty, carrying a backpack weighing between 10-15kg in undulating mountain terrain with an elevation between 3000 – 5000 meter.
