MOUNT XUENSHAN

TAIWAN

DURATION
7 Days / 6 Nights
DIFFICULTY LEVEL
Easy
Xeushan, 3886 meter is located at central Taiwan, district of Taichung, in the area of Shei-Pa National Park with Wuling Farm as the headquarters and also the trailhead up to the mountain. Shei-Pa National Park is famous with cherry blossom festival (known as sakura by Malaysian) in spring season. From Taipei it took about 5 hours to reach the trailhead by bus/van. Nearest airport to Taipei is Taoyuan International Airport.

Xeushan is a four season mountain. The trail condition and the scenery are different from each season. Our trip to trek up to the mountain shall be in winter and normally covered by snow. Best time to climb is in May to September, the view is stunning but without snow.

We will take the opportunity of snow season to experience trekking on snow and to learn several techniques and skills in snow alpine condition. This will make us prepared to climb other alpine mountain with same condition in future. Because of its elevation is less than 4000 meter above sea level, easy access to the mountain and facilities available, we found this is one of the best place to learn and experience the alpine condition.

We hope the client will enjoy the trip and to experience new things and make them better mountaineer in next expedition.
